Cool Cities

Cool cities are the latest green technology in transport, urban development and architecture with a low carbon footprint. It brings together united technology of the SDJC into one city for Sustainable Urban Development and architecture for gulf. The Japan and Gulf States Partnership are joined together to build it. The three types of public transportation that will be used in cool cities are monorail, hybrid cars and solar ships. The cool city also consists of various zones such as the Business/Public zone, Residential zone, Rural/Sports zone, Resort zone, Jatropha forest and Powered plants farms.

In cool cities, buildings would take the wind path and the vast amount of trees and water would reduce the heat in the cool cities. Carbon dioxide that is expected to be reduced by eco-towers is 50% and by the eco-residential is 30% combining them together they would be reducing 80%.Overall, the percentage of reduction of carbon dioxide emissions that was mentioned in the video is 60%.

In my opinion, I think the cool cities are a great Idea implemented in Abu Dhabi. This would reduce the risks of global warming and be a great place for tourist spot. Countries around the world should try to adapt the same idea for them to live in a better environment.
